-sigh- xmule is being difficult again. I’m busy with the upgrade of the rh9 box to fc2, but this is really an old problem.
- xmule-1.8.2-1.0.rh9.dag is what’s currently installed and working
- xmule-1.8.2-1.fc.i386 breaks on start up with a segfault.
- xmule-1.8.2d-1.0.rh9.dag.i386 breaks on start up after trying to init newprefs0x.pm, with a segfault.
- xmule-1.8.2-1.1.fc2.dag.i386 breaks on start up with a segfault.
Any ideas? I guess once I’ve got the box entirely upgraded (600mb of downloads later), I might get around to loading the xmule source and compiling a debug build.
Update: during the rest of the fc2 updates, the old version of xmule I had installed started segfaulting. I upgraded it to 1.8.4 (the latest apt’able rpm) and it started working again. So as I figured: there was a weird library problem somewhere.
